In a move that underscores technological innovation and enhances passenger experience, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSI) in Lucknow has introduced a fleet of intelligent cleaning robots. These state-of-the-art machines are set to revolutionize cleanliness at Terminal 3, making it the first airport in Uttar Pradesh to deploy such advanced technology.

According to a CCSI spokesperson, two made-in-India robots will be strategically stationed across Terminal 3, known for its impressive features. These robots, supporting local innovation, will take over the laborious task of cleaning, allowing human staff to focus on more high-value responsibilities.

The robots boast a 360-degree coverage capability, ensuring that no corner is left untouched. They are equipped with advanced sensors that help them navigate around obstacles and adapt to dynamic environments seamlessly. Each robot can cover up to 70,000 square feet on a single charge, operating silently for eight hours straight. This ensures that the terminal remains sparkling clean without any interruption to passengers’ activities.

These cleaning robots are versatile and can handle various tasks such as scrubbing, drying, and mopping. For added convenience, they can be remotely controlled via smartphones or tablets using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. This remote functionality adds a layer of flexibility and ease in managing the robots.

“The introduction of intelligent cleaning robots at Lucknow Airport has streamlined maintenance, optimizing processes for a smoother flow, elevated upkeep standards ensuring a consistently pristine environment, operational efficiency, and elevated passenger experience,” said the CCSI Airport spokesperson. “The robots will also help in upskilling the housekeeping staff to high-value tasks like robot operators.”

This innovative adoption of technology positions CCSI Airport as a leader in passenger experience and technological advancement within the Indian aviation sector. The deployment not only highlights the airport’s commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient environment but also showcases its support for local technological development.
