Actor Kajal Aggarwal unveils her home and lifestyle brand Kateeka in partnership with Swag, aiming to blend traditional artistry with modern design and targeting a Rs 500 crore revenue in four years.
Actor Kajal Aggarwal is making a foray into the home and lifestyle sector with the launch of her new brand, Kateeka, in collaboration with the brand licensing company Swag. The announcement marks a significant step as Aggarwal aims to bring a unique blend of traditional artistry and contemporary design to the Indian market.
Kateeka is set to offer a range of premium home lifestyle products that combine heritage with modern aesthetics. Aggarwal identified a gap in the market for a brand that integrates design synergy across various categories while maintaining a connection to Indianness. “Home fashion in India is at an inflection point with large players entering the market. I believe the market is just beginning,” she said.
The brand will operate under an asset-light business model, partnering with collaborators, designers, artisans, and manufacturers rather than handling production in-house. Kateeka’s initial focus will be on B2B operations, with plans to expand into shop-in-shops and exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) by July 2025. The brand will initially cover five categories: furniture, home decor, home furnishing, homeware, and kitchenware.
Looking ahead, Kateeka plans to extend its product range to include cookware, serveware, drinkware, and cutlery. “We will be partnering with various players across different categories to enhance our product offerings,” Aggarwal added.
The bootstrapped venture, where Aggarwal holds a significant share, expects to achieve a revenue of Rs 100 crore in its first year. The brand is targeting a substantial growth trajectory, aiming for Rs 500 crore in revenue over the next four years. Initially launching in India, Kateeka has ambitions to expand into global markets, bringing its distinctive blend of traditional and modern design to a broader audience.
