Airtel revises prices for prepaid and postpaid plans, with increases up to 20%. New tariffs aim to boost ARPU and support investment in technology. Changes effective from July 3.
In a recent announcement, Airtel revealed that it will be revising the prices of its prepaid recharge plans and postpaid plans, with increases reaching up to 20 percent. This move aims to boost the mobile average revenue per user (ARPU), allowing the telecom operator to remain profitable while continuing investments in spectrum and network technology. The revised tariffs for both prepaid and postpaid data plans will come into effect next week.
Starting from July 3, Airtel prepaid customers will experience higher costs for their data and calling plans. The telecom operator’s goal is to increase the ARPU beyond Rs. 300. Below are some of the notable changes:
All prepaid recharge plans will continue to offer unlimited voice calls and up to 100 SMS per day, with the exception of the last three entries in the table, which are data add-on packs.
